Reminder About Considerate and Safe Parking |
||||
|
Dear Resident
We have recently received concerns regarding vehicles being parked inappropriately, particularly on grass verges and in positions that cause obstructions. Parking on grass verges can lead to significant damage, including deterioration of the grassed areas, creation of muddy and uneven surfaces, and potential damage to underground services. Once damaged, these verges can be costly and time-consuming to repair and may pose hazards to pedestrians, including children and those with mobility difficulties.
We would also like to remind drivers that parking on the road must not cause unnecessary obstruction. Vehicles should not block or restrict the flow of traffic, impede access for emergency services, or prevent residents from safely entering or exiting their properties. This includes ensuring driveways, dropped kerbs, and access points remain clear at all times.
We kindly ask for your cooperation in adhering to these parking considerations and encourage residents to think about the wider impact their parking choices may have on neighbours and road users.
